Nolimit City does not provide a separate Theme value or a volatility value in the published specification, so I have not added either one to the table.
Scatter Wins Build the Multipliers
Duck Hunters 2 pays when eight or more matching symbols appear anywhere on the reel area. Winning symbols disappear and new ones drop into their places, while every winning position receives a 2× multiplier. If the same position contributes to another win, its existing multiplier doubles, with individual positions able to reach as high as 16,384×.
The game then adds xWays and Infectious xWays to this system. xWays symbols reveal regular symbols while increasing their position multiplier by 2×, 4× or 8×. Infectious xWays go further by affecting matching symbols elsewhere on the grid, expanding them to the same size.
Bomb symbols provide another way to change the grid. Once no more wins remain, a Bomb removes itself and the symbols above it while adding progressively larger multipliers to affected positions — starting at 2× and increasing to 4×, 8× and beyond as it moves up the reel.
Three Levels of Duck Hunt Bonuses
Rather than introducing completely separate bonus games, Duck Hunters 2 scales its main Free Spins format according to how many Bonus symbols trigger it.
Three Bonus symbols award 7 Duck Hunt Spins and one randomly selected upgrade. Four symbols activate 8 Hawk Eye Spins with two upgrades, while five symbols trigger 10 Big Game Spins with three upgrades. Position multipliers are carried into these bonus rounds, so progress built before the feature can remain relevant once the spins begin.
Possible upgrades include Infectious xWays replacing regular xWays, stronger Bomb behaviour, additional spins and extra starting multipliers. This gives the bonus increasing levels of strength without requiring a long list of unrelated feature modes.
Extra Spins Keep Progress Alive
One of the more unusual additions is Nolimit City's xTra mechanic. At the end of a qualifying round, players may be offered the chance to purchase another spin while keeping the position multipliers already built on the grid. A cheaper alternative can also appear with those multipliers reduced by half.
Duck Hunters 2 also supports Feature Buy-In and several optional bonus modes, but the core of the slot is much easier to understand than the full feature list suggests: Scatter Wins build position multipliers, xWays and Bombs modify those positions, and the bonus rounds preserve and upgrade that accumulated potential.
What to Expect from Duck Hunters 2
Duck Hunters 2 is packed with additional boosters and purchasable modes, but its most distinctive idea is the interaction between persistent position multipliers, Scatter Wins, Infectious xWays and Bombs. The three escalating bonus tiers then build on the same system instead of replacing it with an entirely different game.
With a 96.00% RTP, a 40,000× payout ceiling and individual position multipliers capable of reaching 16,384×, the sequel gives Nolimit City's hunting format considerably more room for multiplier progression while keeping the main mechanics connected to one another.
