Gates of Olympus 1000 is a Greek mythology slot from Pragmatic Play, released on 14 December 2023. Zeus is the face of the game, but the slot itself is built around a clear set of mechanics: a 6×5 grid, pays-anywhere wins, tumbling symbols, Zeus Scatters, and multiplier orbs that can turn a normal winning sequence into a much larger result.

This is not a traditional payline slot. There are no left-to-right lines to follow and no Wild symbol shown in the rules. Wins come from landing enough matching symbols anywhere on the screen.

How the game works

Gates of Olympus 1000 uses a 6×5 grid. A regular win starts when 8 or more matching symbols appear anywhere on the screen. The total number of matching symbols decides the payout.

After a win is paid, the winning symbols disappear. The remaining symbols fall into place, and new symbols drop in from above. This is the Tumble feature. A single spin can create several wins if the new drops keep forming paying combinations. The tumble ends only when no new win appears.

All wins from the same tumble sequence are added together before the final result is settled.

Symbols and paytable

The crown is the strongest regular symbol. At the displayed bet setting, 8–9 crowns pay €20.00, 10–11 crowns pay €50.00, and 12–30 crowns pay €100.00.

The hourglass is the next strongest regular symbol, paying €5.00, €20.00, or €50.00 for the same symbol counts. The ring pays up to €30.00, the golden goblet pays up to €24.00, and the red gem pays up to €20.00.

The lower gem symbols pay smaller amounts. The blue diamond shows €0.50, €1.50, and €4.00 at the displayed bet setting.

These are cash values shown for the selected bet. If the bet changes, the paytable amounts change with it.

Wild symbol

No Wild symbol is shown in the rules or paytable. Regular wins are not completed by Wild substitutions in this game. The main focus is on matching symbol counts, tumbles, Scatters, and multiplier orbs.

The symbol to watch is the multiplier orb, not a Wild. If an orb lands during a winning tumble, it can multiply the total win from that sequence.

Scatter and Free Spins

The Scatter symbol shows Zeus and pays on any position. At the displayed bet setting, 4 Scatters pay €6.00, 5 Scatters pay €10.00, and 6 Scatters pay €200.00.

Landing 4 or more Scatters anywhere on the grid starts the Free Spins round with 15 free spins. During Free Spins, landing 3 or more Scatters awards 5 additional free spins.

Multiplier orbs

Multiplier orbs are the main feature of Gates of Olympus 1000. They can appear in the base game and in Free Spins, with possible values from 2x to 1000x.

The values shown in the rules are 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x, and 1000x.

In the base game, multiplier values are added together at the end of a winning tumble sequence. The combined multiplier is then applied to the total win from that sequence.

How Free Spins change the game

Free Spins give the multiplier system more space to build. When a multiplier orb lands during Free Spins and the spin produces a win, that value is added to the total multiplier for the round.

That running multiplier can then carry into later winning spins when new multiplier orbs land. This is the main difference between the base game and the bonus. In the base game, the multiplier applies to one tumble sequence. In Free Spins, the multiplier can keep growing across the round.

A retrigger with 3 or more Scatters adds 5 extra free spins, giving the round more chances to collect additional multiplier values.

Buy Free Spins and Ante Bet

There is no separate pick bonus, wheel feature, or respin feature shown in the rules. The confirmed bonus options are Free Spins, Buy Free Spins, and Ante Bet.

Buy Free Spins can start the Free Spins round from the base game for 100x the current total bet. The triggering spin is guaranteed to land 4 Scatters.
